In a video posted on 18th July, Drew Barrymore shared a clip of herself outside smiling and enjoying the rain.

"Whenever you can go out into the rain … do not miss the opportunity!" the 47-year-old actress shouted with glee.

Her post has received nearly 500,000 likes on Instagram and over 2 million on TikTok.

It's true that Drew Barrymore had a less-than-ideal childhood—she's given plenty of interviews about what it was like being exploited by her parents as a child.

After catapulting to fame as a child star after starring in E.T., Barrymore spiraled into drugs and alcohol at just 13 years old. By 14, she was staying in a psychiatric institution after her mom put her there. After a year and a half, she legally emancipated herself from her parents.

So having child like enjoyment in the rains at the age of 47 is nothing but your inner child is living a true meaning of life.
