Gary Payton II finalizing 3 years $28M deal with Portland Trail Blazers

Gary Payton II is finalizing a multi-year deal with the Portland Trail Blazers, his agent, Aaron Goodwin confirmed.

Gary Payton II has spent his last two seasonwith the Golden State Warriors.

Now Gary Payton II is planning to join Blazers on a three-year, $28 million deal

Payton's payday is well earned after he was one of the breakout players of the 2021-22 season.

After bouncing around the league since his rookie season in 2016-17, Payton finally found a fit in Golden State that allowed his game to flourish.

Payton is obviously familiar with that region of the country as his father, Gary Payton, was once a star for the Seattle Supersonics
